LAUSD Gifted/Talented Programs, Advanced Learning Options, and the Greater Los Angeles Gifted Children’s Association, are pleased to announce that the 46th Annual Los Angeles City/County Conference on Gifted Education will continue to be held VIRTUALLY on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 7:40 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Attached please find the conference flyer with additional information. (Registration details were previously posted on Schoology on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.)

We are offering online intervention classes on Saturdays to give students opportunities for remediation and address learning gaps. The Saturday online classes will begin April 25. If you are interested in having your child attend the Saturday online classes, please complete the Saturday Intervention Form by Wednesday.

The quarterly GATE/SAS Parent Newsletter focuses on information relevant to parents of gifted/talented learners. Topics vary and may include information about gifted identification, strategies for differentiated instruction, characteristics of gifted learners, and upcoming parent events or student opportunities.

This form is for current 6th graders who will be in the 7th grade next school year. Student selection of electives is due on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
