Attention California 6th, 7th and 8th graders! The California Office of Traffic Safety has just launched a statewide poster contest just for you!
Your Mission: design a poster to encourage your peers to “Go Safely” by using safe practices when walking or biking. Enter now at gosafelyca.org! Hurry, contest ends 11/19.

Local District Northwest will be having a Choices School Fair on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Mulholland Middle School. All families are welcome. North Valley Family YMCA hosts a free Teen Night every first Friday of the month for kids 11-17 years old. This is a safe place where teens can hang out and participate in something positive. The event is 100% free. All middle school and high school students are invited. They do not need to be members of the YMCA to participate. They provide DJ &Music, Arts & Crafts, Free Food, Video Games, and so much more. Click on the link above to see the attached flyer. The next Teen Night event is scheduled for Friday, October 4, 2019 from 6:30 -9:00 PM at the North Valley Family YMCA.

Our Ace Awards Night will be on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at MacKenzie Hall. Please note, two presentations have been scheduled: 7th graders will receive their awards from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM; 8th graders will receive their awards from 6:00 pm - 7:00 PM. As a courtesy to all recipients, please attend promptly at the scheduled time. We look forward to seeing you and your child at Holmes Middle School's ACE Awards night!

Holmes Middle School will have Student Focus Group meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:56 AM - 8:25 AM starting in September and continuing through June. Sample questions discussed during the meetings can be accessed through the link above.

Attention Holmes parents and guardians: If you are interested in being a part of this school year's School-Based Management (SBM) Council, print and fill out the nomination form link above. Return this form to the Magnet office by Thursday morning, September 5, 2019. Elections for parent/guardian representatives will be held during Back-to-School Night, September 5th at 5:00 PM during the parent meeting in MacKenzie Hall.
